Today's Dawn patrol was a solid 7 on the scale.  Our intention was to hit up patsy marly again because we knew we could it in less than three hours and we had to be back by 930.  We decided instead to do the more southwest facing slope across the valley due to the high Northwest winds from yesterday.  We were concerned that the exposed face of PM would be too scoured to be any good.  The snow on the more protected south slope was nice and deep, all 13 reported inches were present, but the sun crusted slope peered through the light stuff to validate the phrase "dust on crust".  if you
stayed light on your feet, you wouldn't bottom, but we did.  We had a good time though and despite a later start (720) we got back to the car at 9.  Check out Wade on the top of the slope here.
